Well, you dont absolutely need it, but without it, you reduce your creative capabilities drastically. Imagine that you can use audiobus to use the output of a synth or many synths as input to a DAW like Auria or Cubasis and use an effects app to change the sound. If you get audiobus, you will not know why it took you so long to get it and how you didnt know how great it is.
